Abstract
The selection and adoption of open source ERP projects can significantly impact the competitiveness of organizations. Small and Medium Enterprises have to deal with major difficulties due to the limited resources available for performing the selection process. This paper proposes a framework for evaluating the quality of Open Source ERP systems. The framework is obtained through a specialization of a more general one, called EFFORT (Evaluation Framework for Free/Open souRce projects). The usefulness of the framework is investigated through a case study.
