Abstract

In the context of multi-agent systems, a general aim is the inter-operability of agents. One problem remaining unsolved is the control of processes between agents. The need for workflow technology to support business processes on the level of agents becomes obvious. We provide concepts for distributed WFMS where the distribution is realised within the architecture. Given the formal background of Petri nets, this work is innovative regarding the interplay of agent and workflow technologies.
