Abstract

This article analyses development of static and dynamic protocols to aggregate metadata and resources from heterogeneous systems. In particular, it compares the advantages and drawbacks of both types of protocols and presents a case study of the University of Aveiro Information System as an example of the possibilities of dynamic resource aggregation systems.
