Abstract

Web Services technologies allow interaction between applications. Sometimes a single service given alone does not meet user’s needs. In this case, it is necessary to compose several services in order to achieve the user’s goal. For composing web services, we developed an example using two main approaches: the first one is BPEL4WS, a Business Process composition, and the other is OWL-S, an ontology specifically for web services composition. In this paper we explain and compare the features of these two approaches and the manner of each one does a web service composition.
