Abstract

This paper describes the methodologies used to create an interactive 3D multimedia application. The application was required to fulfil a business need of representing as close to reality as possible, how a new product technology worked. A number of IT solutions for the application were researched and described within this paper. The construction of the application is then discussed with the methodology behind a stereolithography parsing system and the algorithms used to detect collisions being described in detail. The application has been successfully implemented by the business to build an engaged client basis.
