Abstract
Web-based collaborative platforms appear to show controversial potential for improving teaching and learning productivity and flexibility at Third Level. A pilot study was conducted at Trinity College Dublin (TCD) to explore pertinent operational, andragogical, support and social issues with a view to providing insights for the future. While a blended solution, i.e. a mixture of traditional and eLearning is often suggested, it appears that student support for it is not very high and proved disappointing in this study.
