Abstract

Defining process model structures for reuse in different activities, such as re-engineering, may seem to be an innovative idea. There is, however, a danger that these models are created with no proof that they are useful in practice. In this paper, we give an overview of a re-engineering procedure developed from existing re-engineering procedures combined with Goldratt’s theory of constraints, to investigate the usefulness of process model structures in such an activity. The usefulness is measured against an ordinal measurement defined.
