Abstract

The study is devoted to assessing the impact of labor productivity on the standard of living of the population of Russian regions. The authors theoretically substantiated and empirically confirmed using statistical data that labor productivity in the region directly determines the income level of the economically active population and indirectly affects the income of non-working citizens living in the region. The income of the population is the main indicator of the standard of living, which directly links it with labor productivity. The work notes the significant role of the national project "Labor productivity and employment support", which has been implemented in the Russian Federation since 2019, and also provides recommendations for improving the effectiveness of the activities.
