Abstract

Global warming has a negative effect on plants, animals, fungi in various ways. Owing to the critical benefits insects produce, including food source, pollination, capture of pests and current environmental situation, insect traits, it is necessary to reveal the impacts of climate change on insects in different climates. This study investigates the impact of climate change in four climates (polar climate tropical rainforest climate, tropical savanna climate and marine climate) on abundance of insects. According to the results, the tendency of abundance declines dramatically, especially in tropical climate and marine climate. The reason why insects are influenced by climate change are multiple, including offspring, genetic, behavioral, phenological and environmental elements. These results shed light for severe insects abundance decrease in different climates, which will continue to affect insects in the future, and it is of vital importance to pay attention to it.
